All full time employees (over 30 hrs) are offered at least 1X their salary in life insurance through Sun Life Financial. If the employee is interested in coverage, the district will pay half the premium and the employee will pay the other half.
Employees can purchase (on their own) an additional $50,000 of coverage without a physical.
Coverage is term life insurance available to the employee only, not spouse or other family members.
New employees must apply within 31 days of hire or be required to prove eligibility.
