Greetings to the Evansville School Community!
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the District Administrator for the Evansville Community School District (ECSD). As a District, we are striving to provide our students with a 1+ education. An education that promises all students the potential to gain one or more years of academic growth for each year of instruction in the District.
The mission of the ECSD, in active partnership with families and the community, is to provide a positive learning environment that challenges all students to achieve personal excellence and become contributing citizens of the world community. This is supported by our vision of creating a culture of excellence in:
- Academic achievement
- Character development
- Pursuit of arts, athletics and other activities
- Community engagement
- Highly effective staff
As a course of action by every staff member to accomplish our promise of a 1+ education, our mission and our vision, we commit our efforts towards Continuous System Improvement (CSI). Improvement focused on measurable District, school, staff and student goals connected to student achievement and instructional practices.
This year and every year, our dedicated staff will continue to refine what we want our students to know and be able to do at each educational level. The staff will implement the new Common Core State Standards and the College and Career Readiness performance targets. Staff will monitor student progress on a regular basis, provide interventions for students who struggle and extend learning for those students who have shown proficiency and advancement. We are committed to improving upon our high academic standards and behavioral expectations in a safe, supportive and stimulating environment.
The educators of the ECSD remain committed to delivering educational experiences that are innovative, challenging and relevant for our students. We continue to hold high expectations for ourselves, our students, our parents and our community. The concerted efforts of all stakeholders will help to prepare our students for college, career and life.
We are excited about the future of the ECSD as we strive to be a 1+ District. If you have questions regarding the District, please contact me at (608) 882-3386.
