The Evansville Community School District partners with GO Riteway Transportation Group to provide transportation services for our students. For any questions/concerns please call GO Riteway at 608-882-1067 or email brittany.buxton@goriteway.com. Their address is 597 Water St, Evansville.
Notice Regarding Bus Transportation
According to state statute 121.54 (2), every school board shall provide transportation to and from public school for all pupils who reside in the school district two miles or more from the nearest public school they are entitled to attend. In the Evansville School District there are a few exceptions.
1. Special education students who receive transportation as a related service in their individualized education plan may be transported within the two-mile limit. This is consistent with an exception in the statutes.
2. K-12 students in the Countryside area east of town are transported by bus due to safety reasons associated with unsafe walkways.
3. Croft Road, Old 92, and Hyne Road were declared hazardous a number of years ago. Therefore students, except those in the Francis addition and N. Crull Court addition, who have access to a walkway, are eligible to ride the buses.
- We will seat multiple students in a seat in order to provide transportation for all eligible students.
- Route times will be posted in Skyward Family Access.
